Walt Disney World is one of the most magical places on earth, especially during Christmas time. From decorations to food Disney goes above and beyond to make sure every aspect of your stay is full of holly, jolly Christmas cheer. One of my favorite parts of any vacation is trying new foods and when I am lucky enough to spend Christmas at Walt Disney World I am never disappointed. Not only is the food amazing, a lot of the restaurants have Christmas themed items on the menus to make sure you are full of Christmas spirit. If you’re planning on visting Walt Disney World during the holidays here are some of my favorite restaurants that are worthy of a Christmas Eve meal.

Enter the Beast’s Enchanted Castle to find Be Our Guest Restaurant which is one of the prettiest places to eat during the Christmas season. Christmas wreaths, garland and red bows line the walls in the Ballroom, West Wing and Rose Room and the smell of delicious food fills the air. This has always been one of my favorite places to eat and during the holidays it is truly a magical experience. The menu here is filled with wonderful French and American influenced cuisine. The menu is a set three course meal with different options for adults and children.
Admittedly, this restaurant is not known for its food, and while they do offer some holiday classics like cornbread stuffing and sweet potato casserole, the real draw to this place is the festive decor and characters. Located in Echo Lake at Disney’s Hollywood and Vine you can find Minnie and her friends dressed to the nines in their holiday’s best. Here the halls are decked in a 1930s inspired diner and Christmas joy is spread with seasonal music and costumes. This place is a can’t miss dining experience especially if you have younger ones.
Located in the warm and cozy Wilderness Lodge, Whispering Canyon is a great option for your Christmas Eve meal. Even though this location doesn’t have a customized Christmas menu, the wild antics of the cast members who are serving you could remind you of that crazy family member you see during the holiday season. What I really love about this restaurant is the location in Wilderness Lodge. This open-air restaurant has great views into the most festively decorated lobby and tree on Disney property. Here the whole family can enjoy hearty Western fare with all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets filled with your choice of protein and sides.
If you are looking for a traditional holiday feast, Liberty Tree Tavern located in Liberty Square is the perfect restaurant for you. At this colonial inspired inn you will find a traditional Thanksgiving feast served family style for lunch and dinner everyday of the year. You will feel right at home when you spend Christmas Eve dinner passing comforting and delectable food around with your loved ones at this great restaurant.
With views of Magic Kingdom decorated to holiday perfection and the Seven Seas Lagoon, California Grill is the perfect upscale Christmas Eve dining option. This seasonal three course prix-fixe menu offers everything from flatbreads to sushi and is sure to have something everyone in the family will enjoy. This elevated dining experience located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort will have you feeling as though you are dining among the clouds as you watch the fireworks and is sure to be an unforgettable holiday meal.
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant located in The Landing at Disney Springs is a great way to spend a holiday meal at Disney. This festive menu features butter and herb-roasted turkey, roast garlic mashed potatoes, duck fat roasties, honey glazed carrots, bacon-braised Brussels sprouts, and more for this Irish holiday feast. Plus a live holiday music and dance show that starts at 4:30 PM and goes throughout the night to put everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Many of our American Christmas traditions originate from Germany which makes an outdoor Biergarten the perfect place to spend Christmas Eve dinner. At this restaurant you are transported to a German Christmas Market as you dine on a hearty German holiday classics. This is the perfect place if you have a picky meat and potatoes eaters in your family. As you dine you are entertained with famous Christmas tunes and tales for all ages to enjoy. This dining option is also the cheapest option with the Candle Light Processional Package.
Another great Christmas Eve Dinner option with the Candle Light Processional Package is the Le Cellier Steakhouse. Another venue at the World Showcase in EPCOT, this Canadian inspired cellar offers exquisite steaks and seafood specialties in a cozy steakhouse atmosphere. Their Christmas decor is spot on and so is the food. Known for its extensive wine list and elevated ambience this restaurant is best suited for a more mature crowd.
Even though Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is not available for the 2020 Christmas season, this is a can’t miss event for any other Christmas Disney trip. Located in The Campsites of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort this is a hilarious, high spirited dinner and a show that the whole family will love. During the Christmas season this show includes your favorite holiday classics along with an endless supply of food and laughs.
If you aren’t looking for a sit down Christmas Eve Dinner head over to Disney Springs. This place has loads of holiday themed quick bites like the Thanksgiving sandwich from Earl of Sandwich, or some turkey poutine from the Daily Poutine. After dinner make sure to swing by Amorette’s Patisserie for a pumpkin cupcake and for everyone 21+ check out the holiday themed drinks they are serving at Jock Lindsays.
