Even if you don’t plan to use it, I recommend you familiarize yourself with the brand new Disney Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane Attractions.

What is the Disney Genie System?

Disney Genie brings existing My Disney Experience features together in one place. Join a virtual queue at certain attractions, make dining and experience reservations, mobile order food at many locations, get help from a virtual assistant, and more.

 

 

Let’s Talk Tiers

There are 3 tiers to the Disney Genie system.

The first tier, Disney Genie, is complimentary with your theme park tickets.

This is a new addition to the My Disney Experience app. The Disney Genie will help you with things like:

• Real-time tip board

• Forecasted wait times

• Mobile ordering

• Restaurant waitlists, check-in, and reservations

• Attraction virtual queues

• and more!

The second tier is Disney Genie+.

When you take your day to the next level by purchasing Disney Genie+ service, you can select arrival windows for Lightning Lane entrances that are available at more than 40 attractions and entertainment across all 4 theme parks, one at a time throughout the day.

Disney Genie+ service will be available for $15 per Guest per ticketed day. I will add this option to your room and ticket package for you.

The third tier is the Individual Lightning Lane Selection (ILLS).

Some of the most highly demanded attractions will offer Lightning Lane entry as an “á la carte” purchase. This option will be available for all Guests—with or without Disney Genie+ service—and lets you choose a time to arrive at up to 2 attractions each day (booked one at a time). 

Pricing and availability will vary by date, attraction, and park. Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for current prices and attraction availability. Currently, the price ranges from $7-$15 per attraction. 

 

 

How Do I Add Disney Genie+ to My Park Tickets?

The best way to purchase Disney Genie+ if you want it for each day of your trip is to add it to your room/ticket package before your stay. I can add this to your package for you.

If you don’t want it for all of the parks or want to wait and see what crowd levels are like before adding, you are able to add on each morning through the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone.

 

How Do I Purchase Individual Attraction Selections?

The Individual Attraction Selections will be available to you to purchase through your My Disney Experience app on the day of use.

 

How Do I Use Disney Genie+ in the Parks?

If you are interested in using Disney Genie, just let me know and I will send a user’s guide with screenshots to show you exactly how to use the feature. Of course, I will also include tips and tricks to maximize your purchase. 

How Do I Use the Individual Attraction Selection in the Parks?

Another perk of staying onsite at an official Walt Disney World Resort: Guests staying at a Disney World resort, at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts, and the Shades of Green resort can make their first Individual Attraction purchase at 7:00 am.

Guests staying at other resorts will be able to make their first purchase when the park opens.

What if I Don’t Want to Purchase Disney Genie+?

That’s ok too! Just like Park Hoppers, Disney Genie+ is an optional add-on feature for your theme park ticket.
