With Christmas right around the corner, take a break from the busy and see what Disney Springs has to offer.
Disney is already magical all-year-round so you can only imagine how they kick up the magic during the most special time of the year: The Holiday Season. Disney Springs creates an unforgettable experience for you and your family to enjoy the Christmas spirit and participate in fun festivities for all ages.
There are so many things happening at Disney Springs for Christmas this year. I am here to break down some of those events so you can choose the right ones for you and your family to make the most of your limited vacation time!
No Christmas is complete without a photo of the little ones with Santa. This holiday picture is sure to be bring the Disney magic that a photo of your children with a mall Santa just can’t compete with. This takes place in the Once Upon a Toy store at Disney Springs.
Be prepared to eat, eat, eat because during the holiday season Disney Springs offers special festive treats and meals that are delicious and worth every bite. There are dozens of places to choose from.
Here are some highlights of holiday goodies from 2021:
White chocolate Peppermint Eclair (Amorette’s Patisserie)
“Oh Deer” Cookieshake (D-Luxe Burger)
Snowman on the beach Margarita (Dockside Margaritas)
Olaf hot cocoa surprise (The Ganachery)
Peppermint bark nachos (Marketplace Snacks)
Around the holidays, there is a DJ during the day and night that will allow you and the kids to dance until you can’t anymore! There are also snowflake skaters and toy soldier stilt walkers. Chances are you won’t catch a snowfall in Florida but at Disney Springs Town Center, they have “snow flurries” that make you feel like you are in a Winter Wonderland.
You have to check out the FREE Christmas Tree Trail showing off gorgeously decorated trees themed after your favorite Disney movies and attractions! The Christmas Tree Trail is one of the most memorable features of Christmas at Disney Springs. As you walk around the neighborhoods of Disney Springs, there are Christmas trees that are all Disney-themed. Some of them are themed based on Disney movies while others are based on Disney World Attractions.
There is also a scavenger hunt associated with these trees and if you find all 20 trees you will win a festive surprise! This is a fun activity to do with the little ones while taking a break from holiday shopping at Disney Springs.
The temperatures are pretty mild throughout the month, with an average high of 75 degrees and an average low of 55 degrees, but a cold snap is not uncommon. You will want to keep an eye on the forecast and pack layers. The last time we went in December one day was in the 30s and a few days later it was in the high 80s so be prepared. It’s helpful to have a light jacket/sweatshirt, scarf, hat, and gloves, especially for little ones. That way, you can dress warmly when you head out to the parks, and take off your layers as needed throughout the day! Shop my favorites here.
There is a special festivity for every family coming up this holiday season at Disney Springs. Don’t forget to stop by Disney’s Day of Christmas to pick out a special ornament that can serve as a reminder of your Christmas Disney Springs trip as a family for years to come!
The beginning of the holiday season starts out with moderate crowds and they continue to build the closer you get to Christmas. The week between Christmas and New Years’ is the busiest of the year but one of my favorite times to go if you follow these tips.
