I love the Disney Dining Plan. I think it is worth every penny for the convenience of prepaying for your meals. It is priceless to not have to worry about the cost of meals while you are on vacation.  But if you want to get the most out of your money spent on the dining plan it is important to understand the cost of your meal versus the cost of your entitlement.

We figure based on the 2020 dining plan cost that your Quick Service dining credit is worth $19. The restaurants on this list have an average cost above that mark. There are certainly other restaurants where you can get dishes worth well above that but for the purpose of this post I only went with the average meal.  You will save more if you choose Dinner over Lunch or Breakfast.  A Quick Service credit includes an entree and a drink, if you choose an alcoholic beverage, the value of your credit increases. 

These are the restaurants that are the best value and while I LOVE many of them, some are a good use of a dining credit but not necessarily the best meal. For my favorite quick service in each park watch this video. 

 

Be Our Guest – Magic Kingdom

Be Our Guest Restaurant is an expansive and elegant dining destination located at the foot of Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland. You can enjoy a quick-service breakfast or lunch, in one of the elaborately themed rooms—straight out of the beloved Disney classic.

Lights… Cameras…. Eating! Feast on fare with international flair amid the Art Deco setting of this studio-inspired commissary.

Backlot Express – Hollywood Studios

Get your grub on with savory and flavorful dishes like the Backlot Burger, Southwest Chicken Salad, or Cuban Sandwich! Desserts, beer, and soft drinks are also available.

Popular Menu Items: Bacon cheeseburger, with or without BBQ brisket on top, chicken nuggets, chicken salad, garlic fries, chili-cheese dog

Docking Bay 7 – Hollywood Studios

At this restaurant housed in a working hangar bay, choose from a variety of dishes prepared with ingredients from across the galaxy—all of it delicious, but none of it familiar. Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs has docked a food freighter loaded with fresh supplies and he’s ready to satisfy the appetites of visitors and locals alike with an array of exotic offerings. His planet-hopping travels allow him to prepare fare with unusual flavors that delight customers.

Open: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Popular Menu Items: Smoked Kaadu Ribs, glazed with a sticky-sweet sauce and served with down-home blueberry corn muffins. Endorian Tip-Yip (chicken) is roasted on a quinoa curry salad or compressed into cubes, deep-fried, and served with a roasted vegetable–potato mash and herb gravy.

Tangierine Cafe – Epcot

Step into this charming Mediterranean eatery known for its authentic shawarma platters, tempting pastries, and specialty coffee drinks. Kids can delight in American classics like chicken tenders or a hamburger.

One of the more heavily themed quick service restaurants, Columbia Harbour House resembles a revolutionary era inn with nods to history in every corner. You can stay on your diet here with the grilled salmon with couscous, tuna on multigrain bread, or substantial salad. Or you can indulge with fried shrimp or chicken pot pie.

Popular Menu Items: Reel in fried fish, shrimp or chicken baskets, lobster rolls, New England clam chowder, grilled salmon and salads. Kids can enjoy macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets and more.

Polite Pig – Disney Springs

Bring your appetite to a modern barbecue outpost featuring Florida-inspired cuisine and an array of libations on tap.

Flame Tree BBQ – Animal Kingdom

Popular Menu Items: lighter lunch and dinner options include a grilled salmon BLT and a veggie-packed grilled portobello mushroom salad. Regular burgers are available but I love the  upgraded bison cheeseburger with Tilamook cheddar and Marionberry barbecue sauce.
