Conveniently located amid Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs lies the lush tropical getaway location of The Caribbean Beach Resort. This moderate priced resort offers all the high-quality Disney amenities you would expect at a price that lets you relax, mom! Clean and comfortable Disney-styled tropical island surroundings give this resort a laid-back, easy-going atmosphere. Enjoy traditional island foods, stroll sandy beaches, or shop island marketplaces to the call of exotic birds. Be transported to a place where soft island breezes past through the colonial-styled buildings. Each island complex is bright, airy, and colorful with access to a 45-acre lake and sandy beaches. Everything’s cool at the Caribbean Beach Resort.
Although beautiful, this is my least favorite Disney resort. It is just way too big and sprawling and with 8 internal bus stops the transportation is just not efficient. During my last stay I had to move rooms twice due to a lingering smoky/musty smell that all three newly renovated rooms in completely different areas of the resort had. (I was 7 months pregnant so it may not be as noticeable.)
Even if it is still a bit higher to stay onsite, the benefits can far outweigh the added cost. I have laid out those benefits for you to see how staying at a Disney resort is a good value for you in my blog “Benefits to Staying at a Disney Resort.”

Caribbean Beach Resort offers one king bed or two queen-size beds. Some rooms offer a banquette bed that can accommodate a child usually up to about age 9, depending on height; which can increase the occupancy of these rooms to five guests.
Standard Location rooms– Although these rooms face the water, they do not have balconies.
Preferred location rooms – These rooms are closer to dining and the featured pool. This resort is quite large so this type of room is worth the price, especially if you have small children
Pirate themed rooms – Farthest distance from dining areas and feature pool. However, there are smaller pools in this area. The pirate ship beds cannot accommodate a full-thickness mattress which some adults find uncomfortable but are a hit for the kids.
