Centennial Park / Parthenon 

This outing is both educational and fun. Enjoy a picnic at the park as a family with a view of the Parthenon. The Parthenon is a re-creation of the 42-foot statue from ancient Greece. The park also offers a 1-mile walking path, a beautiful garden, an arts activity center, and volleyball courts. It is the perfect place to go to on your last day there so you can relax while still getting the most out of your trip. 

Nashville Zoo

What makes the Nashville Zoo so special? Your kids are sure to have an amazing time here as it has attractions such as a 4D theater, a zip-line, a carousel, an express train, animal experiences, a jungle gym, and the historic Grassmere Home. 

The animal exhibits are amazing! They have exhibits for amphibians, birds, fish, mammals, reptiles, and arthropods. Two clouded leopards were just born there! 

Gentry’s Farm

If you visit Nashville in the fall, you have to check out Gentry’s Farm with your family. There is lots to enjoy such as hay rides, play areas, corn mazes, and getting to meet some farm animals. Don’t forget to have your kids pick out the perfect pumpkin at the patch. 

Grand Ole Opry 

Ever want to get a backstage tour? The Grand Ole Opry is a concert music stage that offers backstage tours that offers insider stories and allows you to see where some of the greatest country stars have performed such as Garth Brooks. Check their website to get tickets for the latest concerts at this concert stage! 

Civil Rights Tour 

Did you know that Martin Luther King Jr. was inspired by students in Nashville? This tour is perfect for teaching the kids about the significance of Nashville during the Civil Rights Movement. This tour offers a detailed explanation of the historic landmarks around Nashville and learn about the importance of Nashville as it was home to many non-violent protests and has historical stories that are not always taught in school. 

Cheekwood Estate 

Cheekwood Estate is way more than just a beautiful botanical garden. There is family fun for everyone as they offer food trucks, live music, a children’s garden, and more! Cheekwood is filled with history that can be learned about on the daily tours that they offer! This is such a nice place to take a gorgeous family photo. 

Old Town Trolley Tours 

Old Town Trolley Tours gives you and your family the perfect opportunity to get familiar with Nashville and offers a hop-on, hop-off service so it makes for good transportation as well. I recommend doing this the first day so that you can see if there are any places you really want to visit during your stay. 

Adventure Science Center

Adventure awaits at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville. They have been open for more than 75 years so they definitely know a thing or two about teaching kids about science! There is a planetarium and they always have unique featured exhibits going on! There are so many cool things to learn about here all the way from beekeeping to a recycle rainforest, or interactive media. 

Sports Game

If your family loves sports, then you’re in luck. Nashville is home to 4 professional sports teams. Check out a Predators game if you love hockey or if you’re more of a baseball family then catch a game of the Nashville Sounds. There are always fun family memories to be made at sports games!
